Air India crash on 12 June 2025 and a heartfelt message from Colonel Ray Wilkinson King’s representative to Croydon

I’ve been thinking about you and our Indian community over the last 24 hours.  I hope that neither of you, nor your families, have been directly affected, but I guess that you may be aware of people who have suffered loss, and I know you both are deeply emotionally invested in all matters to do with India.  The news of the air disaster from Gujarat has been devastating.

I’m so sorry for the loss far too many people within the Indian diaspora will have experienced as a result of the crash.  Awful.

Would you please accept Liz and my condolences and pass them on as appropriate?  The people of India, and particularly those of Gujarat and with links to Ahmedabad, are in our thoughts and prayers.

Let me know if there’s anything more practical I could do that you think would help any of our Croydon folk that have been affected.
