In the article dated 12 June, Hannah and Hassan show great concern that the home minister Amit Shah’s promise to eradicate Maoist terrorists from the so-called Red Corridor of India will be at great human cost. The Indian armed forces killing spree of the terrorists resulted in 344 deaths in 2024, they claim sorrowfully. Hannah and Hassan quote a Human Rights activist Bela Bhatia, who says that the Operation Kagar aimed at eliminating the Maoists is a brutal attempt to neutralise the Maoists who are also known as Naxalites. Just so as to convince you of the plight of Maoist terrorists Hannah and Hasan bring in Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch the two organisations which are a paragon of virtue. They claim that the Indian armed forces indulge in extra judicial killings. Hannah and Hassan also mourn that only 500 terrorists are left. Apparently, the leaders of these Maoist terrorists want to enter into peaceful negotiations with the Government. Unless they abandon their ideology of violent uprising to overthrow the democratically elected Parliament negotiations cannot take place. It is just a ruse to buy time.
Now let us see what the Marxist-Lenilist Maoists stand for. Their hero Chairman Mao killed almost 60 million of his own people to bring in his so-called cultural revolution. Like their hero, the Maoists operating in Bastar District of Chhatisgrah as well, Orissa right up to parts of Maharashtra want to overthrow the elected government of India by violent means so as to establish a Maoist fascist regime in India. The Communist Party of India(Marxist), the political arm of the Maoists has done so badly in elections that the Election Commission of India has withdrawn its status as a national party.
The armed wings of the Maoists known as People’s Liberation Guerilla Army are thugs who terrorise the tribal people. They demand taxes and other forms of extortion from tribal communities. They even kill innocent civilians by accusing them of being spies. The Maoist terrorism has led the young people of tribal communities to form a vigilante group called the DRG. These young people are disillusioned with the Maoists and their terror tactics. They claim that the Maoists claim to be fighting for us, but they are killing us.
At the core of the problem is the mineral resources of the tribal areas. The left-wing politicians and many NGOs allege that the industrialists of India want to exploit the mineral resources of the area. However, the concept of minerals being part of India’s shared inheritance is mentioned in the Indian government’s National Mineral Policy 2019. It noted that “natural resources, including minerals, are a shared inheritance where the State is a trustee on behalf of the people and therefore it is imperative that allocation of mineral resources is done in a fair and transparent manner to ensure equitable distribution of mineral wealth to sub-serve the common good.’ The mineral resources of the tribal areas are also the mineral resources of India.
Hannah, Hassan and the various Human Rights groups are actually supporting violent terrorists. They have no real interest in the rights of the people. They are driven by anti-India, anti-Modi hatred. To their chagrin India is unstoppable.
