In 1980 we started organising an annual Christmas Vegan Lunch with two specific goals in mind. One was to promote a plant based Vegan diet and to promote friendship between communities. By sharing food together we can make life long friendships. We believe in giving back to this country which has given us so much. I urge all Indian organisations to arrange similar Christmas Lunches. Today Veganism has become mainstream with millions of people giving up meat, fish, eggs and dairy. Like Yoga, Ahimsa and a animal free diet is Hinduism’s gift to the world.
