It’s roads to ruin as Indians count cost of Modi, the motorway PM https://share.google/PoF Xx3 pAZ wtsp KAWm
In her latest anti Modi and anti Hindu article in the Times, Amrit picks on the failures of mega construction projects like bridges, roads, trams, trains and airports that have transformed India under the leadership of PM Modi. She highlights the ones that have had issues. She exaggerates as usual by claiming that jaded infrastructure projects were going catastrophically wrong. It is, ‘ another day, another infrastructure disaster’ she informs her English readers. And in a state of self-flagellation she announces that China and other Asian economic powers build the longest, safest, most ambitious, most precise bridges while Modi’s tend to fall down! Amrit should know China too has its issues but you do not hear of them. And if she were to criticise Xi Jinping as she does Modi there would be big trouble for her. In the UK the H2 project has cost billions of pounds and there is nothing to see.
She then turns her guns on corruption. Modi promised a clean government but what we have got is crony capitalism she says. The usual names crop up Ambani and Adani. Between these two giants tens of thousands of people are employed. Adani is building major ports and other infrastructure projects in other countries. How many jobs has Amrit created? Ram Mandir, a ‘ triumphalist’ Hindu project is also caught up in corruption claims Amrit. The words, ‘ triumphalist Hindu project’ just confirms Amrits dislike of Hindus. However, even Amrit had to grudgingly admit that India’s highways have expanded by 60%, Metro lines have expanded fourfold, airports have more than doubled from 76 to 164. For Amrit’s information the Chenab Rail Bridge inaugurated in 2025 is the world’s highest railway arch bridge. Drilling was done through steep Himalayan gorges. A marvel of construction the project leader was a woman Dr. G. Madhavi Latha a geotechnical and rock mechanics professor at IISC Bengaluru. Amrit can write hateful articles while other women continue the task of nation building. Amrit calls minister for Roads Nitin Gadkari as tub thumping egoist has built a road network that has surpassed the US to hold the world’s largest road network of 6.7 million kilometers.
