Your article in the Independent in which you moan about the reaction to the advert and claim you are confused why it made people angry. India for you is no longer a secular nation. You further blame the right wing Hindus of the BJP. To educate the British people you go on to say that Hindus mostly have arranged marriages -so called traditional ones, so presumably they are ignorant of the modern mixed marriages. And you bring up the Ayodhya temple as an example of extremist Hindus. Your British audience will obviously not know of over 2 decades of courtroom battles which proved that the site was originally a Hindu temple. Finally you complain that the History books are being rewritten.

My only question to you is what would have been the reaction if the mother in law in the advert was Hindu and the roles reversed. Since you are in this field please make one. If there is any danger to India’s secular traditions it is because of people like you who do not have any care for the majority community or their sentiments.
Any I look forward to seeing a new advert with roles reversed.
