Hannah has written another biased report regarding Cockroach Party’s decision to organise a protest march at the Jantar Mantar Delhi. The permission for the protest was not given by the Delhi Police. Leader of the Cockroach Party and his fellow travellers decided to go ahead with the protest. No wonder they were detained. You cannot allow a ragbag of anarchists to hold the capital of a country to ransome.
Let us look at the issue at hand. The Election Commission has cancelled the names of 130 million people from the electoral roll. Amongst these are names of people who have died, people who have moved or emigrated and a huge number of illegal immigrants who have got on the electrol roll. Hannah claims that the whole exercise is to strip the citizenship of Muslims and other minorities who do not traditionally support Modi’s BJP party. Hannah fails to tell who the other minorities are.
It is a fact that a huge number of immigrants from Bangladesh have entered India illegally.
Hannah makes another fake claim saying that ‘during its 14 years in power, the Modi government has been rigidly intolerant of dissent. However, few protests have prompted such a draconian nationwide crackdown, signalling the government’s concern that this unrest could present a serious political challenge’.
If Modi’s government was intolerant why have they been voted to power again and again? The vast majority of Indian’s know that Modi has transformed India. He will go onto win the next election. And yes it is and always will be be a Hindu nationalist party because the vast majority of the country is Hindu. Just as the UK is essentialy a Christian country.
Regarding the oft repeated lie by Hannah that Modi’s government is intolerant of dissent how has she reported from Delhi year after year calling Modi all kinds of names and written articles that are sanctimonious.
Funny thing is she occasionally does a story on Pakistan from the safety of India! There is a massive march taking place in Pakistan for the release of Imran Khan. Will Hannah travel to Pakistan to report on the march? I doubt it.
