At the House of Commons presented with Scroll of Honour by the International Conference of Jurists. 

The citation read:

Scroll of Honour presented to Nitin Mehta, Author and Social Activist, London.

‘In recognition of his distinguished contribution to social activism, Indian cultural heritage, vegetarianism, animal welfare and community cohesion, this honour is conferred upon for promoting compassion, ahimsa, public service, inter-cultural understanding and humane values through his writings, campaigns and dedicated service to society’.

The citation was signed by Dr. K.G. Balakrishnan former Chief Justice of India and Dr. Adish Aggarwala President of International Council of Jurists.
