In yesterday’s Times there was a piece about famous French people asking for a ban on eating horse meat. In the comments section the Carnivores came in praising horse meat and claiming there should not be any such demand. So I sent the following comment expecting an avalanche of anger. However the response was muted. One lady praised my comment and a Mr. Young said that George Bernard Shaw said many silly things! Another asked if I was demanding that meat eating should be stopped. A Mr. Wilson said meat is not disgusting at all.
My Comment:
Eat no meat. It is disgusting. Always wondered if animal waste ends up in meat or is it just brushed out. George Bernard Shaw: ‘I am a Vegetarian not a graveyard of dead animals’.
