The other day there was an article in the Times regarding the UP government directive that food eateries should display the names of the owners.
There were various comments about it. My comments were below were also published:
Hindus believe the food you eat impacts your mind. Food that comes from gross violence impacted you negatively.
Meat, fish, and eggs are therefore not consumed by practising Hindus.
There is an elaborate ritual in the preparations of food.
Food that is made in anger or to feed someone reluctantly also impacts the consumer negatively.
Food, therefore, should be made lovingly and happily. Hindus also offer the food first to God. That ways it is blessed.
Food eaten lovingly, without anger, which is plant based, would give the consumer all the positive vibes. It would nourish the soul of the consumer.
It is therefore necessary for Hindus on pilgrimage to be assured of the food they are getting served.
In UK too a majority of Vegans and Vegetarians avoid ‘mixed restaurants’.
