Your Article in today’s Guardian criticising the Modi Government for its plan to build a new parliament is fastidious. The world’s biggest democracy needs a new building and after careful consideration it has come to this decision. The old argument that India could spend the money on the poor is illogical as by that yard stick India would not be able to do anything. If it was applied in the case of India’s space industry it would mean that the billions of dollars it earns for India would be non- existant. Anis Kapoor is known for his dislike of the democratically elected Prime Minister of India. He is here in the UK and his views are irrelevant. He should concentrate on his little projects here in the UK or go back to India and participate in nation building.
