In the Times dated 21 Oct.2021 a guy called Harry Wallop talks about eating ecologically
sustainable meat mainly wild game meat. He recommends Venison, Rabbit
Hare, Pigeon, Grey Squirrel and white meat namely chicken and turkey. There is
mention of a farmer practicing, ‘sustainable farming’, that is cows allowed to eat
grass. The manure being used as fertiliser. However there is no mention of where
the blood and slurry as well as discarded animals parts go. The answer being into the
ground and in the waterways creating dead zones.

My reply below was published in the comments section:

Paul McCartney said, ‘ if slaughterhouses had glass walls everyone would be vegetarian’. There is a strong moral reason to consider animals as sentient beings and stop the slaughter of billions of animals every year. The time for regenerative farming is gone. We have 9 harvests left. The blood and discarded parts of animals clog up our waterways and create dead zones. The US is already facing extreme climate which will eventually drive the country into poverty. Australia up to now a living paradise is paying the price of being the world’s largest sheep exporter. The poor farmers in South American countries are dying of diseases inflicted by the use of pesticides in the process of producing cereals to feed the animals raised for meat in the West. We act now or the next generation will never forgive us for ruining the planet.
