An article appeared in the Times on Thursday 22 September which talked about the Indianisation of India’s armed forces. Everything from uniform to the naming of battalions is going to be changed. The Indian Navy changed its insignia recently from Red Cross of St. George to an Indian one.
In the comments section people felt that Indian’s do not realise what the British Raj had done for them!
One individual listed the things that the British brought to India. My reply which was published in comments section replied to that individual.

1 Aryans were NOT invaders, Indians were and are Aryans who settled all over the world thousands of years ago.
(this was in response to the claim that even Aryans invaded India along with Mugals and Persians)
2 The Mugal era names are also being changed.
3 The Courts: India had a legal system going back thousands of years.
4 Schools: India had a Gurukul system going back thousands of years.
5 Railways: Left alone India could have invented much more than just Railways.
6 The abolition of Suttee. They used to burn Witches in England. Most of them poor innocent women.
Remember it was the wealth of India that brought the invaders to India. Indeed Britain fought battles with the French and others to get a foothold in India.
Regarding India just overtaking the UK only now as an economy this was because the last Rupee of wealth was taken away by colonizers. It is said the Persian invaders took away caravans full of precious jewels and India’s thriving textile industry was destroyed to prop up Manchesters factories.
